These design criteria were first formulated by our founder, Rido Busse, back in 1959. In the 21st century, where purely technical unique selling points are becoming rarer, they are becoming increasingly important and form the foundation of our success.
"Designing successful products" – that was the credo of company founder, designer, and entrepreneur Rido Busse (*August 14, 1934 in Wiesbaden, † February 12, 2021 in Oberelchingen). Rido Busse was a designer, entrepreneur, and honorary professor. After an apprenticeship as a silversmith, Rido Busse studied at the legendary Ulm School of Design (1953-1959). Immediately after completing his studies, in 1959, he laid the foundation for todays BUSSE Design+Engineering company. He headed the company until 1999 and later devoted himself to representative tasks, such as the "Plagiarius" negative award, which he established in 1977.
