Ulm tops the list in first place and, as a local employer, we can only underline this judgement!

According to Prognos, Ulm shines with a good level of development of renewable energies, above-average medical care and good road safety, as well as a particularly high number of apprenticeships and business start-ups. It is also relatively cheap to live there. Ulm was therefore not only the most liveable city in the ranking, but also the most sustainable.

In addition to the favourable connections to the major cities of Stuttgart and Munich and their airports, the neighbouring Allgäu region, Lake Constance and the Alps offer countless opportunities for day trips and weekend excursions. The city itself is characterised by a well-preserved and lively old town with numerous restaurants and bars due to the high student population, the Danube running through the middle of the city and sights such as Ulm Minster with the highest church tower in the world. Leisure activities and cultural events are on offer all year round, from the picturesque Ulm Christmas market and the Danube Festival with its serenade of lights to the legendary "Schwörmontag" with the "Nabada", where thousands of water enthusiasts take to the Danube alongside official themed boats.
