Services/UI/UX Design / Reduce training effort
Reduce training effort – through interfaces that explain themselves
Fewer training days. Faster onboarding. Lower costs.
If an interface does not convey its logic by itself, users must learn it laboriously – with a corresponding effort for training, documentation, and support. Especially for products with high employee turnover or international use, these costs quickly add up. We design user interfaces that explain themselves – so users can work productively from their first contact.
✔ Shorter onboarding time for new users
✔ Lower training costs
✔ Fewer support inquiries
Problem
When every new operator starts from scratch
An interface that is not self-explanatory results in recurring costs – for every new user:
Long training periods before users can work productively
High training costs, particularly where there are multiple locations or languages
Errors with rarely used functions that are not intuitively accessible
Reliance on documentation and support rather than intuitive operation
Solution
Interfaces that need no explanation
We design the user interface logic, terminology and visual guidance in such a way that the system is largely intuitive to use – through clear language, consistent patterns and clear feedback within the system.
Intuitive operating logic through consistent, predictable interaction patterns
Clear, easy-to-understand terms rather than internal jargon
Visual guidance that leads users through the process without the need for prior knowledge
Embedded guidance and feedback rather than separate manuals
Approach
Our approach
1. Analysis —We check where current training content is needed and why these steps do not explain themselves.
2. Concept —We develop an operating logic with clear language, consistent patterns, and embedded guidance.
3. Prototype — The revised operational flow becomes tangible as a prototype – entirely without accompanying explanation.
4. Testing —New, untrained users test the prototype; we measure how far they get without assistance.
5. Implementation —The validated solution is transferred into the final user interface together with your team.
