Industrial Design for Würth M-CUBE Batteries

A battery family for all M-CUBE machines of a voltage class. For the new battery generation of the M-CUBE platform, BUSSE took on the technical packaging, industrial design, and corporate product design. Three batteries cover the entire range of performance - from compact entry-level to long runtime in continuous operation.

Close to the existing series, BUSSE designed the new batteries following the predecessor batteries. The familiar design language remained the starting point for the drafts as well as the final designs. The technical packaging was alongside the design. The electronics and charge level display had to fit into a compact case.

One product language, three performance levels.
All batteries follow the same design, differing only in what performance the craftsman needs. Battery Li-Ion 18 V BASIC M-CUBE is the compact entry for machines and applications where every gram counts. Battery Li-Ion 18 V 5 Ah M-CUBE W-CONNECT is the all-rounder with a balanced ratio of weight and performance. Battery Li-Ion 18 V 8 Ah M-CUBE W-CONNECT delivers maximum runtime for heavy, long-lasting applications.

The outer rubber coating of the battery pack ensures a secure, non-slip stand and protects when setting down. An integrated cell frame dissipates heat and absorbs shocks. The LED charge level indicator is well visible on the housing and shows the remaining charge directly on the machine.
