Reichmann presents the LS-1 RACE at this year's ISPO 2020 in Munich and wins an ISPO Award. This new machine offers completely new possibilities for precise, rimless structures and unlimited structure variety by means of revolutionary laser structures!
The new LS-1 RACE revolutionizes traditional stone cutting and sets new standards in precision, reproducibility, individuality and environmental friendliness. Laser technology enables precise and exactly reproducible structures in all conceivable variations. This opens up completely new possibilities for racing departments, ski manufacturers as well as sports stores and rental businesses in terms of skiing performance, design and quality. The LS-1 RACE is also pioneering in terms of the environment, as the skis are processed dry.
Precise, rimless structures
The laser offers the possibility of structuring the ski base without edges. The spacing of the cuts can be freely selected. Unlike stone grinding, laser structuring also retains the basic structure completely in the gaps, thus simplifying service work.
Unlimited structural diversity
With the LS-1 RACE, not only straight cuts, but also angles or arcs can be applied to the ski base. The laser structure is also variable in depth, enabling spectacular 3D effects. In addition, the laser can apply lettering or company logos to the ski base, for example, which is not possible with a rotating grindstone.
For this machine development, the team from BUSSE Design+Engineering GmbH was once again able to support the developers at Reichmann as a sparring partner with regard to the machine design. Together, we were able to further develop the striking and reduced design language of the machine portfolio that had been revised in recent years and adapt it to the functional and manufacturing constraints of this machine!
We congratulate Reichmann on this great machine and innovative strength!
