HENSOLDT - Exhibition models for the "Kalætron® Integral" product family

For our long-standing customer HENSOLDT we were allowed to realize an exciting exhibition model for this year's ILA trade fair: The task was to realize an aircraft on a scale of 1:25 in such a way that on the one hand a realistic and detailed representation of the aircraft is achieved and on the other hand the HENSOLDT technology of sensor, antenna and radar technology is staged.

As part of HENSOLDT's "Kalætron® Integral" product family, the Integrated SIGINT System is an on-board installed solution that provides customized high-end, long-range signals intelligence for manned and unmanned platforms at medium and high altitudes.

The system is modular and scalable: from dedicated radar and communications reconnaissance solutions to integrated high-end SIGINT solutions, different sensors and platforms can be combined into ONE reconnaissance picture.

We realized this sensor, antenna and radar technology on the model by means of transparent elements and light guides, which were backlit green from the inside according to the HENSOLDT corporate design. Part of the aircraft fuselage was implemented as a cutaway model with a transparent cylinder so that the control consoles and computer technology inside the aircraft could also be represented.

The airplane model was attached by means of a bent stainless steel tube to a likewise custom-made base, which was equipped with a touch monitor and display on the right and left.

In this project, BUSSE was once again able to bring to bear all its competencies in design & conception, technical planning and model construction implementation in in-house prototype construction.
