Parallel to the new machine presentations of the Swedish demolition robot manufacturer BROKK, its subsidiary, DARDA GmbH, presents three new tong models.
They have been designed as a low-noise yet powerful attachment tool for the new demolition robot series as well as for mini-excavators in the 2.5 to 9 ton class.
Darda designs and manufactures a comprehensive range of high quality attachments but also handheld tools for demolition and recycling. A DARDA tong, despite its compact size and with only a mini-excavator as carrier, can easily compete with the performance of larger and heavier tongs. This is because DARDA equipment is trimmed for high crushing force and functional dead weight.
In close cooperation with DARDA, our designers created the new CC440, CC480 and CC580 series of tongs with the aim of generating a powerful and brand-typical design that ultimately signals the crushing force and robustness of the products in a credible manner. This was achieved with a technoid, aggressive design language that is uncompromisingly oriented to the technical structure and functionality.
The design of the pliers is based on the lightweight construction principle to enable optimum force paths with minimum volume and material requirements. Technically, the new series is equipped with a completely new type of pressure intensifier, which is reflected in speed and even higher crushing forces. All tongs retain the previous option variants, such as additional crushing teeth or hydraulic rotary drive.
