On the road at the Interalpin
In April, after a four-year break due to the coronavirus, the 24th edition of INTERALPIN took place at the Innsbruck Congress Center and underlined its unbroken global strength and appeal as the world's leading trade fair.
For three days, the Alpine metropolis became the center of the ropeway and alpine technology industry for over 35,000 trade visitors from all over the world. Among them were BUSSE customers such as Prinoth, Kässbohrer, Reichmann, Skadii and many more - from a total of 650 exhibiting companies. Evamaria Plehn and Carina Dietrich spent a day at INTERALPIN to see the impressive innovations, concepts and solutions in addition to talking to regular customers. With its focus on digitalization and sustainability, the international event not only spoke to BUSSE but also directly from the "development heart".
In addition to the technical innovations, which were demonstrated in snow management both in the snow groomer and in the remote maintenance of snow cannons, the focus of the manufacturers is on a comfortable and ergonomically optimized workplace. In order to place successful products on the market as a key player or newcomer, self-explanatory usability and the use and integration of digital interfaces and data are paramount.
Evamaria and Carina took a seat in the cockpit and got to grips with various programs in order to understand the extensive tasks and requirements that the employees of a ski resort, for example, are confronted with on a daily basis. In this way, usage scenarios become clear and can be understood and taken into account during development.
They are working on electric and hydrogen drives to make use of the ever decreasing amount of snow and to produce artificial snow as sustainably as possible. Highly complex instruments for measuring snow using satellites and drones are becoming important tools for the future. Numerous alternative solutions are also being developed and refined in order to make alpine tourism, which increases during the year, both attractive and sustainable.
