Cargonerds Reporting Tool
Using an intuitive user interface to keep an eye on large volumes of data, correlations and optimisations when shipping freight in real time? This is now possible with the innovative software from cargonerds, the reporting tool for which we were able to support the development of the operating concept, click dummy, screen design and design system.
The online shipping analysis platform from cargonerds provides real-time data on a dashboard of past, current and future shipment data, including depot, arrival, pick-up and delivery milestones in a responsive web application for mobile and desktop devices. Air, sea and road shipments can be analysed together or separately.
To analyse the shipment data, you can filter by shipment type, recipient or carrier, as well as by weight or transit times. Raw data can be displayed and exported to analyse transit times, trade routes and historical data from the last 3 years.
The CO2 footprint can thus be analysed and improved.
Different access levels can be controlled via the user administration, the data view and export authorisations are thus adapted to the employees and developers.
Thanks to the clear and easy-to-use interface, it is possible to operate the tool with just a few clicks. This saves training time and makes it possible to analyse shipping data in a completely new way. This increases the efficiency of large and small companies enormously.
The development of the operating concept focused on the user-centred development approach that is standard at BUSSE. We started by analysing the typical users and their tasks. Using online surveys with end users, the needs were determined by means of a prototype in advance in order to find out which wishes and requirements prevail among users and what problems they have with the previous analogue form of an Excel sheet. The findings were then translated into simple flowcharts and mock-ups. The visual design of the dashboard in dark mode also resulted in an interactive prototype for further surveys and a design system.
