REGIOLUX - pendant luminaire with strip light function
KAYAK
The kayak definitely brings a breath of fresh air into the office. The pendant luminaire with strip light function sets new accents and impresses with its details.
The "kayak" office luminaire impresses with its extremely flat appearance thanks to its visible height of 10 mm and its exceptionally long service life (138lm/W). With its integrated "netlife" control technology and optional strip light arrangement, it leaves nothing to be desired.
The luminaire is available as a pendant luminaire with indirect component and surface-mounted luminaire with light accent on the ceiling and is ideally suited for VDU workstations: BAP-compliant with state-of-the-art precision optics.
VISULA
The room luminaires from Regiolux GmbH combine highly efficient lighting technologies and guarantee a very homogeneous quality of light without disturbing glare points. The "visula" product lines now represent a further innovative luminaire family in the overall portfolio.
The Regiolux and BUSSE Design+Engineering teams once again worked closely together on product design and developed the new visula products. In addition to pendant, surface-mounted and wall-mounted luminaires, the family was completed with the current free-standing luminaire and presented to the trade in 2016 at Light+Building[1] in Frankfurt (Main), the world's leading trade fair for lighting and building technology.
The visula also demonstrates its typical variability when it comes to adapting to project requirements. A "visula tunable white" is also available. In addition to its high-quality design, the visula scores with a wide range of application-related advantages. These include the highly efficient LED lighting technology, the homogeneous illumination and the pleasant lighting ambience.
It is possible to customize the control and regulation system. In addition to the familiar M5S5 version with presence and daylight-dependent control, more complex systems such as swarm control, wireless networking and operation via smartphone or tablet are also possible.
Products for implementing dynamic lighting concepts are designed to enable time-dependent variations in lighting levels. This means that the color temperature and illuminance can be individually controlled over time. With biologically effective light, illuminance and lighting quality are becoming more important than energy efficiency.
The "visula tunable white" is capable of mapping the full circadian cycle and adapting color and brightness to the natural course of the day.
ALVIA
The high-quality aluminum housing on the edge of the new alvia pendant luminaire from Regiolux is just 23 millimeters high. It seems to float weightlessly in the room. Despite its small dimensions, alvia proves to be a powerhouse with a light output of almost 10,000 lumens and a luminaire efficiency of up to 94 percent - sufficient power for a double monitor workstation thanks to energy-saving LED technology, whose light is precisely controlled via a microprismatic disk. Reflections of light that appear on it set the luminaire off to great effect. LED modules on the top brighten up the ceiling.
Elegant, slim and modern were Regiolux's specifications for the formal design, which Busse Design + Engineering implemented on the basis of a functional trade fair model. The product designers also had to develop a pendant luminaire suitable for series production with end elements attached to the front. The particular challenge: no screws or other connecting elements must be visible on the outside of the luminaire. An intelligent solution for the extruded aluminum luminaire profiles was needed!
For this task, the Busse team drew on its expertise in product design and integrated screw channels that are invisible from the outside into the luminaire profiles, as well as mounts for diffuser foils and stiffening crossbars that run along the sides.
The rectangular cross-section of the luminaire body, carefully designed with radii, gives the alvia pendant luminaire its characteristic yet restrained appearance, which is suitable for many different applications. The corner radii connect the individual outer surfaces, creating the impression of a circumferential band that gives the luminaire a sense of direction and a high recognition value.
In close cooperation with Regiolux, designers and engineers from Busse Design + Engineering have successfully developed the form and function of the new alvia pendant luminaire from a functional trade fair model to series production.
Regiolux is one of the leading German manufacturers of technical luminaires. Its main sales markets are Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, the USA, Canada, India, Australia and South America. The company was founded in 1952 in Königsberg, Franconia.
