Saving energy and protecting the environment are goals that should pay off in the long term. BUSSE has met these requirements with the RPI 18 frequency inverter for ThyssenKrupp: Design and engineering that saves acquisition and energy costs, protects the environment and improves ride comfort in the elevator.

The example of the RPI 18 frequency inverter for ThyssenKrupp Aufzugswerke GmbH shows that BUSSE not only provides product design but also efficient engineering. Due to the resistance when braking an elevator, heat is generated that is not normally used as energy. Regenerative frequency inverters can feed this energy back into the power grid and significantly reduce the energy consumption of an elevator.

The RPI 18 as an energy class A regenerative frequency inverter is an all-in-one device that combines contactors, chokes, brake control and electromagnetic filter as well as containing all important control and safety functions. Compared to conventional inverters, the RPI 18 is smaller in volume, which facilitates installation and maintenance on site. For example, the installer can easily loosen and quickly remove the cover with just one central screw.

Despite the sheet metal housing, the RPI 18 has a high-quality appearance thanks to its functional shape and newly developed pictograms on the top, which make the added value of the device clear.

With the RPI 18, the BUSSE team of designers and engineers has developed a regenerative frequency inverter with high added value. The RPI 18 saves valuable energy in daily operation and thus also protects the environment. The sophisticated concept has convinced ThyssenKrupp so much that it is being transferred to a regenerative frequency inverter in another power class.
