Reichmann celebrates 100th anniversary and introduces new DTS-U II edge grinding machine at this year's ISPO 2018 in Munich.

At the ISPO trade fair in Munich, Reichmann presents the new DTS-U II machine, which combines and perfects the various work steps of edge processing with a modular design and new, innovative machine structure.

For this machine development, the team from BUSSE Design+Engineering GmbH was once again able to assist with the design of the machine and the user interface. Based on the SF-4 automatic ski service machine presented in 2016, which was also designed by BUSSE, the modern and brand-defining design elements were transferred to the DTS-U II: clear, precisely executed hoods with the blue panes typical of Reichmann, which deliberately emphasize the two functional modules and work steps of the machine and thus demonstrate the flexibility.

In the two-module DTS-U II RACE version presented at the trade show, both side and bottom edges of skis and snowboards are processed simultaneously with proven HQT technology in just one work step. Since loading can already take place simultaneously with the lower edge processing, the DTS-U II achieves an even higher throughput while at the same time processing the skis and snowboards gently. Other innovations include:

  • grinding without binding bridge,
  • snowboards can also be sharpened with bindings, depending on type
  • practical and easily accessible angle adjustment
  • new grinding disc "Edge Sanding Plate" for side edge pre-sanding
  • tool-free changing of discs by quick-change system SwitchFIX

The operating terminal is also arranged in a housing assigned to the user next to the basic module, similar to the PROFI B VARIO grinding machine presented in 2017.
