After more than a decade, it was time to give the existing "Starlet" high-pressure gun from Kränzle a new lease of life. Thanks to a new valve body, the new "Starlet 3" is not only state of the art, it has also been ergonomically optimized. Naturally, this also required a new design, which we created in collaboration with our customer Kränzle.

The predecessor - the "Starlet 2" - had already received a positive response from users in terms of design, ergonomics and function. Our aim was to further optimize these three points and to include additional application scenarios. A particular challenge was to combine the high ergonomic requirements with the brand-defining design of the Kränzle company.

Taking into account various percentiles, findings from textbooks and field test results with existing pistol grips, we developed an initial design draft. This was subjected to the validation process using initial samples from rapid prototyping parts. After "filing" the surfaces and edges several times, an optimum shape was created for a wide variety of users. We then designed and implemented this shape for injection molding.

By using different surface structures, the appearance was enhanced and the design features of the Kränzle company were emphasized. As a result, the "Starlet 3" is an ergonomic, compact and modern high-pressure gun of the latest generation, matching the new Kränzle design style guide, which we also created.
