This year's ILA Berlin attracted around 95,000 visitors and 600 exhibitors from 31 countries. The world's first independent aviation trade fair was held here back in 1909 and currently takes place every two years.
With the Aviation, Space, Defence & Support, Advanced Air Mobility and Supplier sections, ILA Berlin covers the entire value chain of the aerospace industry. Here it was clearly demonstrated how the transformation of civil aviation towards climate neutrality can succeed. The unique Space Pavilion demonstrated the many benefits of space travel for our lives on Earth - from climate protection and digitalisation to security and mobility. The military area emphasised the importance of the armed forces for the defence of our democratic values and Europe's sovereignty. In the Advanced Air Mobility exhibition area, the entire spectrum of unmanned aerial systems and electrically powered vertical take-off and landing vehicles (eVTOLs) was presented. The International Supplier Centre brought together the extensive supply chain with buyers from OEMs and 1st-tier suppliers.
At this year's trade fair, 5 trade fair models designed and manufactured by BUSSE Design+Engineering were on display!
The challenge here is always to present the respective core technologies in the available space in a true-to-scale and meaningful way and to realise them in appealing models. The factors of transportability, dismantlability and robustness of such models should also not be neglected, as they usually "travel the world" and are presented at numerous international exhibition venues.
We start with sketches and storyboards, accompanied by DFM concepts and visualisations as a basis for decision-making, in close cooperation with the customer's technology department, its marketing department, the stand builder and our interdisciplinary team of designers, engineers and BUSSE's prototype construction department, in order to then work out the selected concept in detail. Many models also include complex lighting, which we can also realise and program in-house.
Over 850 journalists reported on site. The new five ILA STAGES featured 350 speakers who discussed the future trends in aerospace in expert talks, panel discussions, debates and science slams. The next ILA will take place from 10 to 16 June 2026.
