Following on from the success story of the equally award-winning system case family, WÜRTH has developed its own system of cassettes for drills, small parts and special tools, adapted to the grid dimensions of the shelving, cases and vehicle systems. This has now been awarded the prestigiousGerman Design Awardby the German Design Council.
The innovative system cassettes impress with many practical and useful details, such as stackability across all sizes. The boxes are easy to open thanks to the top lock, even when stored in the drawer. This lock is also self-closing when closed.
The modular internal cassette configuration is combined with clear labeling so that a wide variety of sets, drill bit types and sizes and other tools such as countersinks and cutting tools can be stored and identified at a glance. The base tray and lid are securely connected via a robust film hinge. The hinge allows an opening angle of more than 180° and can be replaced individually in an emergency, making the product durable and sustainable.
The unique and brand-defining design elements of the existing WÜRTH system products have been consistently transferred to the WÜRTH system cassettes. In the lid, the typical cut-out frame provides a defined space for the product graphic and content information. The interaction and functional elements such as the clasp are presented in WÜRTH red as an accent color.
The case itself was given high-quality details through the use of different surface finishes in contrasting polished and textured areas. The sides of the case have been optically structured to emphasize the feet and reduce the visual height.
We are delighted that this further design award confirms our shared high quality standards and congratulate WÜRTH on this successful in-house development!
