BUSSE expands prototype construction with 3D FDM printer

Company

In order to be able to react even faster, especially with ergonomic and first basic build space models, we are expanding our existing RP capabilities with an Ultimaker S5 FDM/FFF printer, which is controlled directly from our design and development department.

The Ultimaker S5 offers a very wide range of over 200 different filament materials, both in terms of basic materiality, shore hardness and color.

With an installation space of 330 x 240 x 300 mm, it offers us great flexibility for ergonomic models and sub-functional areas of our product development, so that our designers and developers can carry out initial validations and three-dimensional tests in advance of the actual prototype construction from original materials in our in-house production.

With the 4 nozzle sizes of 0.25mm - 0.8mm, layer thicknesses of 20-600 microns and details from 0.5mm edge length can be achieved.

FDM = Fused deposition modeling
FFF = Fused filament fabrication
FLM = Fused layer modeling
