Three care label removers from three different perspectives.

Care labels really bother people. They are uncomfortable on the skin or scratch. And if you cut them out, the rest of the label frays or you cut into the fabric. The label also means that important information for sustainable care is lost.

Two years ago, the two start-up founders Stefan & Christoph - with many years of experience in strategy and innovation consulting as well as software and hardware development - came up with the idea for a device that would allow labels to be removed properly without fraying or cutting into the fabric. This is how LUKE was born:

LUKE is the first technical solution in the world to tackle the ‘care label’ problem. LUKE removes the label without damaging the fabric. LUKE cuts precisely and seals the seam.

And with the LUKE app, a digital twin of the wardrobe is created and the data is available for a wide range of applications with just one ‘click’. The LUKE app is being launched as a companion for sustainable washing and is set to become an important pillar of a circular fashion ecosystem.

We are proud that we were able to support this exciting and agile project and the likeable start-up with our wide range of services in terms of construction, DFM, value engineering, product design and prototyping.

With this product concept, the LUKE founders have now been able to take part in the Swiss show ‘Höhle der Löwen’ (broadcast on 22 October on 3 Plus TV), as well as successfully completing a crowdfunding campaign.

The next step towards series production is now imminent: We can't wait for LUKE to hit the market!
