HAAS - Color concept Simulation software Multigrind® Styx
We congratulate our customer Haas Schleifmaschinen on the successful presentation of the simulation software Multigrind® Styx at this year's EMO in Hannover. We were allowed to support successfully with the coloring of the 3D representations.
The "Multigrind® Styx" is a simulation software in addition to the current operating interface "Multigrind® Horizon" of Haas grinding machines. The software enables corrections to be made to the setting parameters in relation to the machining processes in a preview. It virtually displays the final grinding result, allowing the operator to detect and correct errors before starting the grinding operations.
The special feature of the 3D implementation is that the individual machining steps have been implemented in a color concept that matches the corporate design, giving the workpieces and the software a very modern and harmonious appearance, which is perfectly suited to a software with this degree of innovation.
The colors show in contrast all surfaces to be machined for the evaluation of the grinding result. The color tones correlate with selected machining steps, i.e. they are coded. Corrections can be made by selecting individual surfaces or elements.
About Haas Schleifmaschinen GmbH:
Nearly 90 years ago, Adelbert Haas built his first universal grinding machine. Since then, the goal of Haas Schleifmaschinen has been: to advance the industry. With pioneering solutions, such as Multigrind® Styx, Haas Schleifmaschinen continues to lead the way in grinding technology.
The grinding machines from the Multigrind® series and the Multigrind® Horizon grinding software are relied on by renowned tool manufacturers, metalworking companies, the automotive industry, aerospace and medical technology companies around the world. For these customers, Haas Schleifmaschinen is constantly working on new economical, highprecision and fully automated machining solutions.
As early as 2008, BUSSE Design+Engineering was able to support Haas Schleifmaschinen in the optical redesign of the then newly launched Multigrind ®CB.
Our chief designer Michael Tinius on the special features of the grinding machine: "We attached importance to straight surfaces and lines, to a monolithic appearance that conveys precision with its aesthetics and thus corresponds to the character of the machine. Without practicing product cosmetics, we point to the inner values via the exterior."
