In the spirit of team building, we treated ourselves as an industrial design team to a day out together. The focus was on simply taking time out of the daily project routine to take time for each other, exchange ideas and gather experiences together.
After pushing our limits in the climbing park last year, racing was on the agenda for this year. The day started with a sumptuous and extremely tasty brunch at Café-Bistro Edison. Then it was off to the go-kart track at the Ecodrom.
Some of us had been in a kart before, but very few of us had been in an electric kart. So we were all very excited to see how fast you can race around the track in these electric karts. After the first run-in laps, qualifying and the starting grid followed.
After a short break, we returned to the track for the start of the race. The race was great fun and everyone had aching forearms and hands after the intensive hour on the race track. We couldn't bring the racing batteries to their knees and had full power on board until the last lap. Of course, we don't want to forget the award ceremony - we had that too - just without the champagne.
Am Nachmittag fuhren wir dann nach Giengen an der Brenz zu unserem Kunden, der Albert Ziegler GmbH. Hier konnten wir die Ergebnisse unserer mehrjährigen Zusammenarbeit in Form erster Prototypenfahrzeuge live erleben. Die neue Generation von Flugfeldlöschfahrzeugen, der Z-Class, beeindruckt mit ihrer schieren Größe und brachialen Performance. Ebenso beeindruckend war die Besichtigung der neuen Generation von Feuerwehrfahrzeugen mit dem ALPAS 3 Kofferaufbausystem. Nach einer umfassenden Führung durch die neuen Fertigungslinien lud uns ZIEGLER noch zu einer Werksführung inkl. Museumsbesuch ein. Hierfür möchten wir uns hiermit nochmals herzlich bedanken.
Der Teamausflug war ein äußerst abwechslungsreicher Tag und wir nehmen allesamt tolle Eindrücke mit nach Hause. Mal schauen, was uns für das nächste Mal einfällt.
