Our berry bushes in the backyard are thriving!
Instead of a simple hedge in this sheltered, sunny location, a small orchard was planted in the fall, automatically watered and (more or less) collectively tended.
The first strawberries are now ripe! Blueberries, currants and raspberries will be available throughout the summer. Those who like it savory will also find cocktail tomatoes and the matching culinary herbs rosemary, thyme and rocket. And for the particularly brave, there are extra hot peppers.
