The product line talento is the highlight of the digital distribution time switches. It has to be quick to be programmed, intuitivly operated and only as many functionalities shall be shown as really needed.The time sitches can be programmed comfortably via bluetooth using a pc or a smart phone or can be programmed directly at the device itself.
The programat furnance series offers dental clinics and laboratories to furnance ceramic dentitions. They are operated via the 7" big colored touch-display or the established keypad with a concept for operation specially fitting the needs of dental clinicsThe menu structure and the graphic design were executed with a reduced design and a clear color code. This was developed to fit onto three different product variants with different functionalities and hardware settings, plus to fit for a desktop-software and a smartphone app.
For the different components of the WÜRTH System cases we designed corresponding quick-guides and user manuales. The information graphics illustrate simply and self-explaining the correct operation and installation of the different products.
Technically ambitious products, like the snowcats of Kässbohrer Geländefahrzeug AG, need a simple and intuitive operational system. The complete vehicle and the additional equipment were graphically visualized in their different usage situations, so all interaction elements and their different modes could be easily allocated by the user. Active elements are pointed out by colors. The complete interaction concept, the screen design and the design of the icons were executed by BUSSE.
Graphic design and organisation of form and content of a software for machine control.The screen content is scalable to different screen formats (responsive) and machine sizes.After the general conception of the user interaction and the definition of the general screen design we developed a uniform icon design and defined a styleguide that allows adjustments and extensions for future product versions.
Complete development of a novel and intuitive interaction concept for a mass transit ticket vending machine:5 different search screens allow different approaches and entry levels to the user interface to enable the individual user groups to buy their tickets in the fastest possible way.The team of BUSSE really could let out their creativity here:Next to the graphic design we focused on the development of a menu structure that would master and fullfill the needs of the different user types and could also create new services and functionalites!
The system background in this project was a ISOBUS terminal, which allows the user to operate different attachments and equipment of different manufactures.We visualized the different types of spreaders with detailled renderings. By direct visualization of the different functionalities and modes the user always stays informed about the status and the condition of the systems.BUSSE developed both screen and icon design.

During the conceptional phase we define the user groups, describe the user context and analyse the current status.Based on that we describe user stories and typical use cases to extract and document the basic requirements for the product/system.This is the foundation to create flowcharts and to define the operating steps for certain user groups and certain use cases.
To visualize the developed use cases in a simplyfied graphical form we use MockUps. They help the observer to understand the concept of operations and make the operating steps visible and tangible. MockUps at that stage still do not contain any detailled design elements. Icons, texts and forms are exemplary placeholders for the later graphical design.
To receive first user feedbacks, these MockUps will be used in first field tests. The results of these practical tests are used to update the use cases and user scenarios and to optimize the interaction concepts. This brings in valuable user feedback into an early development stage.
Only after the MockUps pass the testings without any operating errors and misinterpretations, we start to develop the future design style based on exemplary screens and icons.This design is orientated on your corporate design styleguide, future trends and technologies and helps to create an important of the prospective user experience.
Especially in UI projects we support you agile using the Scrum-Methods and move forward in close sprints and regular reviews to create usable results in short time.Of course we can also progress in classical project management methods like the V-model.All of our interface developments follow the usability engineering process according to DIN ISO 9241-210.

Nowadys only technical high-class functionlities are not enough to generate customer loyality – the user experience and the joy of use are themain requirements for the users. Our motto is „first think, then act – first collect, then create!". Upfront, we have to learn about your exact project goals, propositions and framework.Therefore, we start with a conjoint workshop. Next to a status-Quo analysis we reflect and analyse the existing User Interface and the typical use cases to identify future potentials and improvements. Together we define priorities and identify problem sites. These findings form the foundation for the following conceptual work.
At first, we will test and review the existing system, existing concepts and/or competitors. We validate the interaction steps, collect user feedback and point out critical use cases and potentials for optimization.
We analyse the complete context of usage and operation to identify all relevant user groups, from well-trained power-user to the absolute beginner.These different persona will be placed into typical and exemplary usage situations to define which use case can be defined as „standard" and what may happen in extreme situations and under stress. The interaction in extreme situations should be as easy as during normal daily usage. The human centered design process helps provide the right methology for veritable security and functionality.
After the definiton of the general interaction technologies and the general functional contents we start with the site architecture / structuring of the menus, visualized by flowcharts This shows precisely the connection of content and functionalities and the different interaction steps based on exemplary use cases. During this process we provide our broad knowledge of psychology of human perception. Only a intuitive and self explaing interaction concept makes an attractive graphical design really successful and useable. A clear interaction structure and menu architecture with consistent interactions provides a high brand recognition, an optimized usability and an added value.
To check and to improve the usability and the acceptance of a concept. it has established to create early prototypes based on wireframes at an early stage of development. These prototypes either can be executed via paper dummies or already be programmed.
The validation of the concepts closes the loop of the human centered design process. We try to integrate the target users and key operators as often as possible to reasure and confirm the concept ideas. Direct interaction with the user sides generates valuable information, challenges the new system design and generates optimizations without loosing time. With that „GO" we can dive into the detailled design development.
We create different interface and screen designs and aesthetics, which reflect and focus the expectations and taste of the user groups. Once the aesthetic design style is defined, we can detail the complete graphic user interface, create a set of corresponding icons and screens and transfer it onto the different menu types.
A good interface needs quick recognition of information and a really intuitive interaction. Well designed and self explaining icons reduce the quote of misuse and can express the functonalities without the use of text barrier-free to all users worldwide.
As soon as the graphic surface is defined, you can add the „last mile" for a modern look and feel for your interaction. We define how these elements react when touched and activated, the effects when switching screens and menus etc.This will definitly add the valuable quality to your GUI and make it „inspiring".
The styleguide defines fonts, colors and the position of the different objects. It serves as a basis for software programming and any later extensions of the system.
Once the design is finalized the project turns into implementation and serial transformation. Our partners or your preferred system partner now can program the interface step by step into the serial software application.
